STRONG ISLAND FASTPITCH –ONE DAY TOURNAMENT RULES (2026)

  1.    All teams must be USA Softball registered to participate.

    2.    Games are 90 mins finish the inning 100mins game ends.

    3.    Entry fee does not include umpire fees.

    4.    Tournament format is to be found on the event info as one day tournaments formats can change.

    5.   Rules below pertain to one day tournaments. Unless stated in event info area on USA.

STRONG ISLAND FASTPITCH – WEEKEND TOURNAMENT RULES (2026)

    1.    All teams must be USA Softball registered to participate.

    2.    Teams must be available to play both Saturday and Sunday — no exceptions.

    3.    Entry fee does not include umpire fees.

    4.    Umpire Fees:

    •    Saturday: $45 per team per game (1 umpire)

    •    Sunday: $80 per team per game (2 umpires)

    5.    Tournament Format: 2-day event — pool play into single elimination.

    6.    Awards: Champion & Runner-Up team awards.

    7.    10U / 12U: 1 MVP Pool Play Award per game.

    8.    14U / 16U / 18U: Individual awards to both finalists + MVP Game Award.

    9.    Saturday Home/Away determined by coin flip.

    10.    Universal lineup allowed on Saturday only.

    11.    Unlimited substitutions permitted.

    12.    Courtesy runner allowed for pitcher and catcher.

    13.    Saturday games may end in a tie.

    14.    Game Times:

    •    Spring & Fall: 1 hr 20 min (finish the inning)

    •    Summer: 1 hr 30 min (finish the inning)

    •    Finals: 1 hr 40 min (finish the inning)

    •    Sunday ties go to tie-breaker rules.

    15.    Sunday Batting Rules: DP/Flex allowed; maximum 11 batters.

    16.    Seeding Criteria:

    1.    Record

    2.    Head-to-Head (only if all tied teams played each other)

    3.    Runs Allowed (averaged if games differ)

    4.    Runs Scored (averaged if games differ)

    5.    If still tied — coin toss

    17.    Higher seed is home team on Sunday.

    18.    Coaches must have copies of player birth certificates — no exceptions.

    19.    Teams must submit rosters and be PAID IN FULL before Game 1 — no exceptions.

    20.    All teams must carry their own team insurance.

Guest Player Policy

    21.    Guest players are allowed in all SIFP tournaments.

    22.    Any guest player not on the USA Softball roster requires a new roster submission prior to the start of the tournament. Roster must be on USA Softball, guest player roster must be submitted before first pitch. IN THE EVENT of not being able to update a roster on USA , you must submit a time and dated roster prior to your first game. Tournament assistants will secure roster with time and dated.

    23.    Guest players must be:

    •    Age-eligible for the division

    •    Able to show a birth certificate if requested

    24.    No guest player may be added after the tournament begins.

Weather Policy

    25.    Strong Island Fastpitch will make every effort to complete the tournament.

    26.    Tournament cancellations or delays due to weather are at the sole discretion of SIFP.

    27.    Once games begin, USA Softball umpires determine field safety.

Participation in Strong Island Fastpitch events, leagues, and training sessions is voluntary and done at your own risk.

 

By attending or participating, you understand and accept:

 

• The risks associated with athletic competition

• Responsibility for your own safety

• That Strong Island Fastpitch assumes no liability for injuries or damages

 

 

All participants should be properly insured and prepared.
